Vintage TV Commercials

New Vanquish, from Bayer.

In this ad from the 1960s, you see that it's far more "situational" than a typical 1950s ad. The advertising is done through the conversation between two co-workers, instead of an announcer walking you through the situation, or describing the product over the visual demonstration of the product.

This style is less casual than the more formal design of the ads in the late 1950s, where it was more important to simply describe the product, and FAR more casual than the early 1950s where the simple product demonstration was overshadowed by the announcer performing his balancing act between PUSHING the product and then asking you to consider buying the product next time you shop.
